Privacy
PlugCat doesn’t use cookies and doesn’t store anything in your browser. There are no accounts and no ads.
Analytics
We use PostHog to count page views and a few actions: clicks on “Visit” links to apps, report submissions, and searches that find no matches. PostHog receives the page address, your browser type and your IP address. It combines your IP address and browser type with a key that changes daily into a one-way hash, which it uses to count unique visitors, and then discards the IP address. Because the key changes every day, nothing links your visits across days.
Cloudflare, which hosts PlugCat, also counts page views without cookies.
Visitor reports
When you report whether an app worked, we store the institution, the app, the result and the date, plus a one-way hash of your IP address. We use the hash to stop duplicate reports, and it can’t be turned back into your address.
Links to apps
Once you follow a link to an app’s website, that site’s own privacy policy applies. Some links are affiliate links; see the affiliate disclosure.
